Acacia Turf has proudly been supplying Townsville and local surrounds for over 30 years, and is a local family owned and operated business situated on 20 acres in the Upper Ross area.

Over 40 years ago Darren's father started growing genuine clean Buffalo grass, instilling in Darren the pride, principles and satisfaction in producing a superior quality product that continues today.

In 2012 Acacia Turf identified a need for alternative grass varieties and started research into additional grasses that would better suit Townsville's changing climate and water availability. 

Two native grasses were selected for their qualities and adaptability in our dry-tropical climate, these being Zoysia Macrantha (variety Nara) and Zoysia Matrella (variety Shadetuff).

Due to the success of the two newly introduced native Zoysias, a third variety was selected, the hybrid Zoysia ZT-11, which is a proven all-round performer.

Our superior quality turf varieties have been supplied throughout the North with clients ranging from home owners, new housing developments, schools, sporting clubs and government departments.
